Working on this exciting home at the moment : "The Bond House, Brighton". You wonder why it's called the 'Bond House'? Because that was part of the exciting briefing, to create a James Bond inspired home, on a challenging site with amazing sea views, here in Brighton.
We've been successful in getting a planning permit for it - even though we've been pushing boundaries front left and center - so that is a great milestone reached. Now to regroup and enter the next stages - can't wait for this one to come to life from the 3D renders. Follow this space :-)
Sometimes it's great to be able to speak German - particularly when a German publication features your work. Great read on the German houzz site, with a lot of background on the Northcote house we did last year.

This gorgeous contemporary residence in inner-city Melbourne was to be the owners’ dream home and energy efficiency was non-negotiable. Determined to include passive Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) principles to reduce the need for artificial heating and cooling, and combat condensation, the owners tasked Melbourne Design Studios with this stunning project.
Keen to go green, and make your kitchen more sustainable ? Great article on Houzz.com.au - Have a read of what the experts think - incl MDS director Marc Bernstein-Hussmann and featuring some of our kitchens.

Our Coburg home is coming together. This is going to be a Certified Passive House, built from CLT and woodfibre insulation, with triple-glazed windows (all supplies by Sustainable Building Supplies). We poured concrete for the foundations in mid Jan, and are now starting the fit off - pretty good timing I would say!
This is the first of a series of homes for 'Home by Hutt', called TMRW. It's 'ToMoRroW's house today', with a fair bit of experimental stuff going on, and some beautiful finishes and features. Can't wait to see it finished. In the meantime, you can find some impressions from site on our facebook news feed.
What a nice surprise, in these difficult times :
Out of the blue, we have just been nominated for a 'German Design Award'. This is for our 'Biophilia Slate House', and we've also been nominated for our Birkenstock HQ a few years back, which is quite amazing.
The German Design Award is annual awards scheme by the 'Rat für Formgebung', the German Design Council, which was established in 1954 by the German Parliament - so we feel really honoured !
